| yes I guess so, though after monday I'm not insured to drive it. Have a friend though who can drive it third party so was going to get him to drive it to the dealers. They might surprise me and say its OK to do. After all how on earth can Piaggio expect a bearing to wear after 3 months and for it to be classed as general wear and tear....clearly its not.

Just a little warning, check your friends insurance!
Most third party on other bikes insurance only works if the bike already has an insurance policy on it!

ok peeps, just a little update as to where I am.
first off, I'm a believer of strictly cash over the counter. I never pay for stuff with loans etc, as I have crashed a bike (note, not a scooter!) with 3 years left to pay on it... so far I have a grand or so saved with 250 being saved each month towards a new scoot.
my local dealers are midlands scooter centre, smalley cross scooters and roy jervis in ripley for who ever asked! smalley is the closest to me.
I took my 125 4t runner in today for its 52k service, and looked at the bikes to see what was out there.
I looked at:
the new shape x9 500. Fixed front mud guard, new shape backrest for passenger and few new details in the fairing. Overall impression..yuk.
MP3..not for me I'm afraid. spent aload of hours on the fuoco, and the novelty wore off....quickly. I felt like I was left with a scoot that was too heavy.
new shape runner 200vxr. ther has recently been an 08 update to the runner, with side fins on the front like the new shape nexus. Not ridden the new runner, I came away undecided. Looked very nice in black though.
08 colour 250 and 500 nexus. Give me the 07 colours over this years colours anyday. Currently looking at buying the 250.
gp800. seems too big for my liking. would rather buy a decent sports bike for the money.
second hand isnt an option for me and with a 3 grand odd budget, it really does look like a 2 horse race..the 250 nexus or the 200 vxr. the gts250 or the soon to be released gts300 just isnt me. This style of scoot died in the 60s!
I will ask the dealer tomorrow about the extra cc in the newly redone nexus to see if theres any truth in it. If so, I will wait for an update, and for a nexus with a better colour scheme than this years!
