Following the Trade-in against my burgervan 650, this is my new steed Very Happy

14,119 miles
BLUE
FULL SERVICE HISTORY
HEATED GRIPS
DATATOOL IMMOBILISER
PUIG CHAIN GUARD
BRAIDED BRAKE HOSES ALL ROUND
SUPERB EXAMPLE

Cost me £3,499

It is in great condition and has just had its 14,000 Service (A major one involving checking the Valve Shims etc)
It has had the Modified Clutch Basket etc fitted. (A common fault with the earlier models)
I will be collecting it early next week, if my Insurance ever turns up.... Evil or Very Mad

Andy

Not sure yet, not had a ride on one....... Embarassed
I know the engines very well, I had a SV1000S which is basically the same engine.
I may be putting a Larger GIVI Screen on it, but I need to see how bad (or Good) the standard screen is first Smile

Yeah, I used to own a SV1000 which did about 40+ mpg if I remember correctly.
A guy on the V-Strom forum reckons he can get 60 mpg from his DL1000....
He must ride it like a Nun with one of the Plug Caps off! Icon_rofl2

Now you tell me...... Laughing
I must admit, I do get fed up changing gear from time to time, and the same again I sometimes get bored just revving and going! Laughing
I would love a bike/scoot that had a full manual clutch and gearbox, and then with the press of a button to be able to switch it into full Auto mode when I feel like a Lazy Bastard! Laughing

whats a 'gear' ? I'm sure it's just some gimmick or all scoots would have them.

I was really worried about the seat height, because they look huge!
But I got on it really easy, and I am almost flat footed when stationary. (I am 5' 10")
I think if you were 5' 8" or less, you would find it very high and be on Tip Toes.
